What is retinoblastoma?
This is a rare, highly curable intraocular cancer in young children. It arises in the retina, hence its name.
Over 95% of cases occur before the age of 5 and can affect one or both eyes.
Because the affected child is often too young to be aware of any visual problems, cases often go undetected for some time.
